Very interesting post. I agree on reading more making one a better writer- I think it helps to lessen the possibility that you're unknowingly writing something that's been done better before- you can do that of course, but it's better if there's a certain awareness of what's gone before I think. Otherwise it can sorta come across as the jester making jokes not realising the giant sneaking up behind him with a giant club.

You're obviously on the 'Pro' part of your reading list. ;-)
