Actually, I'm not being entirely truthful - the other reason I wrote it was the comics gave me an epithany of sorts - I actually got something from them. That surprised me. The statement at the beginning of the post and that quotable line really hit me hard. Yes, I thought, yes - that. Exactly that. That's my current philosophy in a nutshell. That's what I learned these past several years. And it's why I loved Lynch's Spike character and those comics. Felt the overwhelming need to write it down and share it with the world. ;-)
When art provides that magical moment of epithany or catharthis, it is well, magical.
