I've questioned that as well. It could be implanted memories. But Sharon was with the military for a looong time. And others knew of her parents or seemed to. She could have been smuggled across, planted with a family, with inserted memories. Would have to re-watch those early episodes.

No, I don't think so. I think it's just mother-child bonding. Sharon states during the episode with the virus - that she is immune because Hera changed her body chemistry, she is no longer exactly like the other cylons. Which is why Hera doesn't bond with the other Sharons, and they don't bond with her - they may share the memories, but not the actual physical experience and that's a major factor. The show seems to be playing with the idea of "physicality" vs. merely "memory".
