The Buffy comics remind me a great deal of female magna comics in style and tone, if not art. The jokes are similar and so is the action. I read quite a few of them in my twenties. Some were made into films, but not many.
Agree with you on Lynch. I love his take on the verse, and really like his sense of humor. I don't know if I'll stick with the Buffy comics or not. I don't find myself looking forward to them in quite the same way as the Lynch comics.
