This year is unique since Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Christmas overlap. One year we had Ramadan in the middle as well. Also the Winter Solistice celebrations.

Lovely here, slightly overcast with peeking sunshine, in the 60s. Yesterday wandered around two small lakes, along with a walk on the beach. One of the lakes had a flock or possibly a swarm of egrets nesting in the tree. Never seen so many egrets, they basically covered the bush and both ends of the lake. On the beach there was a flock of gulls hanging in the air above a small girl feeding them.

I'd include pics, but they didn't come out that well. The ipod touch doesn't take pics of nature that well, unfortunately.

Also why is it that it takes less time to unwrap gifts than to wrap them? ;-)

Merry Christmas!

We've been blessed with some of the best weather we've ever had in December, some people might miss the snow (which is pretty) but I'm so grateful to have a bright sunny day when I won't need to scrape the car and fight through snow drifts to get to Christmas dinner!
