Hope so. Also hope he finds some better writers than Davies. There's a couple of good ones on Torchwood. The last three episodes of that series were pretty good and there was one really dark and fascinatingly scarey episode about lost souls.
Davies isn't bad, hit and miss. I'm not sure who wrote Family of Blood or Utopia (may have been Davies) or Gridlock - those were decent episodes.
There's a definite thematic arc this season - regarding crimes of humanity in its desire to perserve itself or live better lives, and loss of one's voice/identity.
Rose out of phase. Donna's boyfriend who can't talk. Martha being taken over by the Sontarian clone. And finally the Doctor losing his voice in this episode.
