I share your hopes about this election. But, I've read enough, that I don't think it will be an easy one. It's been a strange and long election, with a lot of emotion, more so than any other year I can remember. The emotional intensity of this election reminds me a great deal of the ones I read about in books but had not experienced until now. People either love or hate the candidates, there appears to be very little in between. And because of the depth of passion they feel - they are less tolerant of people who disagree. It's a bit like what we saw on fanboards with Spike vs. Angel, except much more intense, because that was JUST a tv show, and this, well this is the future of our country and our world. The President of the US has a great effect on how things will unfold, particuarly right now. So I think if you aren't feeling anxious and/or passionate about this election, you probably aren't taking this seriously enough and don't appreciate the impact.
