ETA: I don't know, Gail may have been involved with Angel - I have no idea. But I know she wasn't involved with any of the other series, and not involved with Buffy past S5. Although by S5 - we had a lot of female writers on the show - Rebecca Rand Kirshner, Marti Noxon, Jane Espenson, and someone else whose name I can't remember. Also the Kuzuis had rights to it.
