Yeah, it's more the slash than anything else. I think the problem is that it's only recently crept into everyday speech, rather than restricted to official or legal writing, and Dru is more old-fashioned in a lot of ways. I can't see her saying "and/or" or "he/she" either.

I do like the dichotomy of referring to Darla as both her grandmother and her daughter, which they also did on AtS s2, since it amuses me how their family is so twisted (I also get a giggle out of Connor being both Spike's nephew and his uncle).
