Buffy's line in #2 "I'll be gentle this time" can be read as them doing it before. But I guess they did it before in a dream Buffy had.
I'm really interested to know how this whole Buffy-Xander thing is gonna play out. Knowing Joss, it's not gonna have a happy ending, but it's great he decided to explore it. I just wish Dawn wasn't in the picture.
