Actually, I like Dawn, although I think in general she has been very poorly served in S8-- the maturity she was showing during the latter half of S7 has mysteriously vanished and the character has reverted to the semi-whiny stage again.
I have to disagree. I think Dawn had more to do this season than she did in S7, and she still kept her maturity. Borrowing angearia's comment on Dawn, "The transformations themselves aren't so much her development, imo, as what she does with these trials. And her owning up to cheating on her boyfriend was a lesson in honesty and responsibility.
But yeah, Dawn's growth is about learning she doesn't need to be the center of attention (Giant) and also how to use her power for good, accepting her sexuality (centaur) and finally saving herself (Doll) and being honest and accepting of her own faults, admitting to her own guilt."
