BTW, I would be absolutely delighted if in the next issue, we find out that there was this cosmic makeout session, but that Buffy and Angel did not have sex, because at the last moment she says-- "wait a minute here-- what the hell am I doing?"
You forget, Willow has super-powers too. I think we can take her word for it when she tells Xander that no, it's not a bird, it's not a plane, it's Twuffy! (Okay not those words exactly, but you know what I mean.) Besides, let the Twuffy shippers have their fun, it's going to be short lived - I seriously doubt it'll last more than two issues.
Besides, it's not like they are actually going to show them having sex. (At least I hope not. Did they show Satsu and Buffy? I forget.)
That being said, I think it will be Dawn. I think the idea put forth previously that she was no longer "The Key" was a mislead-- you realize that they never truly said anywhere after S5 that she wasn't, just implied it.
You aren't the only one. But, I am not holding my breath. We've been down that road before - in S7 - thinking, oh, Dawn, the key...but Whedon was like, no, no, she's just a girl, no key power. Na Da. Sort of like Joyce's death in S5 - I was like, oh Dawn being the Key and those implanted memories caused it, that would be cool, but Whedon's like no, she just died from natural causes.
