Well, considering he's brought Spike, Angel, and Buffy back from the dead...I'd say those three may have top honors.

Seriously though? What we think, who we like, etc should not matter.
If Whedon kills anyone off, and I seriously doubt he's going to outside of maybe more nameless slayers - it has to be someone that matters to Buffy. That would affect Buffy. If Buffy and her friends don't care about the person, they probably won't die.

Riley? I can see Whedon killing off Riley...the character has more or less served his purpose.

See, I don't really care if you kill off a character - as long as it furthers the plot, the character arcs, and the story. Spike's death in Chosen worked - it furthered the character arcs. Tara's death worked.

This is a horror story, I'm expecting people to die. Wouldn't be a horror story if they all lived happily ever after, now would it?;-)

That said? At this point? I don't think he's going to kill anyone major.
We're supposed to have a season 9. If they want readers for S9, they are going to have to keep Xander, Willow, Giles, Buffy, and possibly Dawn around a bit longer. Also, it would be bad form to kill off IDW's two leading men - granted turning at least one of IDW's leading men into your villian isn't exactly kosher either...but killing both or one of them off - is a bit much.
