Finished watching this week's Glee - which continues to rock like nobody business. It may be amongst the few tv shows that consistently explore gender issues from multiple perspectives, some deliberately offensive and often satirical. Tonight's episode blew me away - with it's emphasis on male/female roles. Also, Mercedes rules! I need a Mercedes icon yesterday.
Kalinda in The Good Wife and Mercedes in Glee are my two favorite female characters at the moment - they are coming very close to overtaking Buffy in that contest.

I'm loving it. I love how this show explores gender perspective. I was just flat-out loving Will's seduction of Sue--typically understood as a women's revenge--to manipulate through the power of sexuality. Sue was magnificent in this episode.

And the ending--I liked the funk number. I was feeling it.

Honestly, I get a bit sad to see the hate for Glee out there. Not only does the show have fun musical numbers, hilarious situations, and amazing one-liners, but it explores gender in transformative ways. I think it's wonderful. But I guess it's not for everyone.

Any idea if "The Good Wife" , in this age of podcasts & online viewing, is actually going to honor the ancient practice of *gasp* re-running shows during the summer instead of airing reality trash in the timeslot? :(
