I've tried to send v-gifts to people in the past, but I can't get the dang thing to work.

Anyhow...I watched the recent episodes of The Walking Dead S2 - and the following comes to mind:

1. Is it just me? Or ...With the possible exception of Mad Men, are all of AMC's original dramas are nihilistic depictions of the absolute worst in human behavior or the dregs of humanity? I'd say they depict people as cockroaches, except cockroaches are nicer to each other and have more dignity. It's a pattern I've noticed in AMC's dramas. Also in regards F/X's original dramas, with the possible exception of Justified. So if you like to watch tv shows that depict humanity at it's ultimate worst - F/X and AMC's dramas will appeal to you.

2. The second half of Season 2 is much better paced than the first half. Oh they still do dumb things, it's just better paced and there are more zombie attacks and fight scenes. Although, the people were a lot nicer in the first half of the season than the second...so I guess it depends on which you prefer nicer people or quicker pacing?

My favorite characters continue to be Andrea and Daryl. They are also by far the smartest to date.
Everyone else does and says increasingly stupid things. Seriously, you'd think these people had forgotten their are "walking dead" wandering about. And why doesn't anyone in this show call them zombies? Don't horror novels/movies exist in this verse? Guessing not.

Rick's wife Lori is starting to grate on my nerves along with Herschel's Daughters. Although I think Lori is supposed to, since Andrea basically said everything I was thinking.

Not at all surprised that they killed off Dale. I thought they were going to kill him off five to six episodes ago. I'd been waiting for it. It took them long enough. Granted they had to pick the right moment. Here - we can have everyone feel guilty and ashamed about it. Also they can't blame Dale, when Randall escapes and causes the nasty other group to come hunting for them. Speaking of the nasty other group - did they have to kill off the guy who played in both True Blood and the short live Terriers series? I love him. I wanted more of him. Maybe he was too expensive?

We'll see if I stick with it. It's a bit violent and I'm not crazy about anyone, except maybe Andrea and Darryl.

Also saw Ringer - which made less sense this week than last week, if that's possible. Oh well at least Juliet, Mr. C, and the Mom subplot has been wrapped up and they are gone. Good riddance. I like bad serials because I find them unpredictable. I want to figure them out and often can't because the plot makes no sense and wanders all over the place, like this one does. Although normally the characters are more likable and the story has a a sense of fun to it, not so much here.

Now we are being lead to believe that Andrew wants to kill Siobet who knows about his Ponzi scheme - which he told her about. Apparently he told Siobhan too at one point. In short, I think we've fallen into a gothic romance now. Don't ask me what's happening, I'm lost and losing interest fast. Between Siobhan manipulating Henry now into getting rid of Malcolm and keeping Bridget with Andrew and away from Tyler, and Malcolm attempting to protect Bridget, and then there's Tyler who is trying to call the FBI on Tyler, while Siobhan doesn't want him to do that. I'm confused. Plus people are flying back and forth to Paris awfully fast.

Well Tyler is dead now. Did Andrew kill him? Did Olivia? Did Siobhan? Do we care? Not so much.

Meanwhile Bridget may be in danger...again, do we care? Not really. Except I think Siobhan still wants to kill her and if so, Siobhan is one cold customer.

Right now the only character I feel sorry for is the increasingly stupid FBI agent and Malcolm, who has turned himself in to the FBI agent so that he can testify against the evil mob hitman, not worried that someone may try to kill him - after all he's been rummaging around in Andrew's affairs too - worse they know it.

Daryl is one of the few characters who have made changes, or at least revealed new bits of character. Andrea and Shane too. They are my favs, for very different reasons. I assumed they'd kill off Dale, but I wasn't sure how they would. I think that Carl might be the most warped of all of them, and I'm really curious how they are going to handle that. They'd better do some big back story for him, because so far, I'm not sure they've shown us how he could get quite that bent.

I really really hope they don't bring the other group, just to rape and murder, and show how bad it could be. Just knowing they are out there is scary enough for me.

I lost track in Ringer having missed a few episodes, so I haven't been watching that at all.
