A quick poll, keeping in mind lj will be down at 4pm Pacific Time and 7pm EST.
I bought Angel issue 38, Spike issue #2, and Illyria issue #1 and am curious if it makes sense to review them. In other words - let me know which opinions you want me to fling upon you all this weekend, under a cut-tag of course.

I always read your reviews, but I do stop reading if you get too far into hating on Joss (I totally get that you are disappointed in him, but I'm not... I'm not really taking the comics very seriously). But I'm always interested in your POV (I know that sounds like I'm only interested when I agree w/you, but really I don't find it a problem most of the time, you are usually very reasonable). You just write what you feel, and I'll worry about my reactions! lol

I don't think I even heard about the movie 'Kick Ass'.

I already have my first-hand opinion of Kick-Ass, so I'm covered. I'm not interested in Grey's Anatomy or Vampire Diaries, and I don't want to be spoiled for Supernatural, so will have to skip that post. I'm on the fence whether to get the Spike & Illyria comics, so an informed opinion would be helpful. Angel just makes me want to throw things.

I've read the comics myself, but I'm always interested in your opinion.

Never seen an episode of any of the TV shows you mention, and never seen Kickass.

I would ban you on reviewing Kicks ass until I do but I realize that's childish. If you do though, expect my comments moths... even years after but I will watch it dammit it's bee waiting for me for months now!

Also, what is the point of the comics existing if you're not gonna review them?

Well the Spike comic is pretty good, but then again, Brian Lynch seems to be one of the only writers in the Buffyverse at the moment, who still has some idea about the characters.

For the record, I don't hate Joss Whedon any more than I suspect you hate JK Rowling. And I don't take the comics seriously.

LOL! Thank you. Have to admit, I get more enjoyment out of reviewing the Buffy comics and reading the reviews than I do out of the actual comics.

I apologize for sounding like I thought you were hating on Joss, sometimes I'm probably too sensitive....
It is hard to know what people are thinking even when you read what they are writing... and it is nice to straighten out misunderstands. Thank you.

Agreed. So far Lynch's comics have been by far the most entertaining and least aggravating, on so many levels. Lynch doesn't appear to take himself quite as seriously as the other writers do (haven't read the Illyria yet). And Lynch appears to have a genuine love for both the series he's writing and the characters that he's focusing upon. Also, he's focusing his stories on exploring aspects of a character he loves, wish I could say the same about another writer I can think of.

Have you posted a review of them yet? (always read your reviews.)
