Clearly you have way more ideas for how they could have made this work than they did themselves... I wish I had tuned in for this (the only episode of 'Seventh Heaven' I ever watched was their musical episode, and it was the most enormous fail I've ever seen on TV... none of the songs fit into the story in any way at all, and none of the actors could sing well enough to excuse their trying it).
