Thanks. I did not know about The Defense of Marriage Act. They seriously passed that? Ugh. That is weak Constitutionally. That must have been the act that Obama mentioned in his speech to the LGBT organization on Thursday - which his attorney's were actively fighting, because as a former constitutional law professor - he knows it is weak and shouldn't have been passed.
Agree on the CA case - I don't want it in the US Supreme Court just yet. Not sure what the court would do with it - we have Clarence Thomas, Scalia, and Roberts...which does not bode well. It's going to take time unfortunately...but attitudes are slowly changing, which is good news.
