I'm sorry about your friend, UFC-style fighting can be quite dangerous. I'm pretty de-sensitized to it now since I watched a documentary on one of the earliest pro-fighter's beginnings in Brazil - you know, back when there were no gloves and one could knee a person's head while they were on the ground. ... There's a lot more rules now.
