Yeah obligations to the publisher are WAY more contractual than to fans! LOL However I'm guessing that after turning in 12 books on time you get a little lee way for having the 13th be late (at least Butcher only said that they were 'disappointed' w/him in his Q&A...). And as you say, it was only a few months late, not years!
