Spontaneous Musings

I couldn't remember how much of it was...I know Spielberg fiddled a bit with it. But the marriage of Spielberg and Kubrick works really well - what Kubrick lacks in many of his films is warmth (too sharp) and Spielberg often falls into sentimentality. The two together...created a really interesting film. Flawed in places (never been fond of the ending, but endings are hard).

Still love the first hour of it.
