Why did he create the curse? What was and is his agenda? Why is he helping Snow now and why did he do so then? What does he have to gain? "
I seem to remember, from the beginning of the season, that Rumplestiltskin was in the Queen's dungeon as a prisoner at the time of the curse... So I've assumed that he prefers the 'real world' (where he is the powerful Mr. Gold) and doesn't really want to do away with the curse, AND he fears the Mayor's power because he knows she is the Queen and the damage she can do. But I'm probably wrong... plus there are questions about why he is the only other one with actual memories, maybe that is because he created the curse? It is interesting.
I agree that August is an extremely intriguing character and I agree that he wrote the book, but I had a weird thought that he might be the kid all grown up (but that would make his flirting w/Emma creepy since she's the kid's Mom...LOL).
