It is a surprising new trend, they didn't use to divide books into two part movies (other wise Lord of the Rings would have been made into a lot more movies!), but ever since Harry Potter successfully sold 'Deathly Hallows' as a two parter I guess everyone wants to do it! Oh well, I'll go see them all regardless.
I wonder if the 2nd and 3rd books of the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trilogy will also be divided into multiple films? They didn't set new box office records, but I'm sure they made enough $ to justify doing all three books (at least I hope so).
