My results weren't surprising. I side the most with Jill Stein, the Green Party Candidate. A progressive liberal. But Barack is next in line at 74%, and I'll vote for him, because Jill doesn't have a chance in hell. I don't really agree with Romney on anything - but the fact that he doesn't want to regulate the internet.

What? You knew I was liberal, right? More moderate than my brother, clearly, but progressive and far more liberal than my workplace. I only talk about politics online and with people at church.

I figured I'd try the test even though I'm not American. Seems like I agreed pretty much entirely with Jill Stein,though I agreed with Obama for about 84% as well.

What didn't come as a surprise is that I agreed with the republicans for barely 1% of the issues. I honestly wonder if republicans even realize just how extreme right wing their viewpoints are to the rest of the world.

The only things I appear to agree with the Republicans on is not regulating the internet.

The frightening thing is many of them do realize it, they just don't care. Common sentiment is : We don't want to become like Europe or the rest of the world, they are a mess.

As a non-American, every time I take one of these quizes, there are some questions I honestly can't believe are political issues - let alone election-deciding ones. Basic human rights? Grade-school science? This is something people use to decide who to vote on?

So needless to say, I ended up pretty far to the left on this one. :)

I know I'm not that far left. I feel sorry for the ultra-liberals and leftists, they have no where to go. The ultra-conservatives think Obama is socialist and radical, and I laugh. No, no. He's moderate. You're radical.

Yeah, the US has a lot of political parties, but only two ever really seem to get any real focus or have any chance of getting elected. Which is why the rest of the world thinks we are a two-party system. For all intents and purposes? We might as well be.

Although occasionally a highly vocal candidate will pop up out of nowhere from one of these unknown parties (the Independent Ticket or Working Families or Tea Party)...but usually they have a lot of savvy marketing people around them. (Think Ross Perot and Ralph Nader).

I got Jill Stein followed by Barack Obama as well.

Ended up sharing 91% of opinions with Jill Stein and 89 % with Obama. :)

I'm a moderate, ex-Republican and I came up 97% Jill Stein as well. Wonder who wrote a d weighted the poll.

Yeah, I was wondering same myself, since I don't consider myself leftist, more moderate, liberal.

The problem may be that there are no moderate candidates except Jill Stein and Obama...? Which means the progressives and ultra-liberals are out of luck. My brother doesn't vote - he's ultra liberal.

That was an interesting poll, thanks for posting it. I got Jill Stein followed closely by Obama as well. I agree with Romney 11% of the time. Interestingly, I also agree with Texas voters 59% of the time, which goes to show you that Texas isn't quite as conservative as people like to think. Well, the Texans taking that poll, anyway, which probably skews young and not voting. Also, Obama is a left-leaning centrist, he's not much of a liberal. He appears liberal because the current group of conservatives is so radical.

I was surprised by how many New Yorker's agreed with my choices. And it also surprises me how many Texans do.

You're right about Obama, he is what I like to call a moderate conservative.
Or left-leaning conservative. He's not really a progressive or a liberal.
I'm trying to remember the last centrist Republican candidate.
