shadowkat: (Tv shows)

There is a lot of frigging tv shows on, isn't there?

Anyhow, not sure anyone is even online at the moment, let alone on Sundays. And I'm about to take off myself - for various commitments and errands. Here's hoping more than ten people take the poll. I couldn't list everything - too many tv shows. But I tried. If it's not listed, just mention in the comments or check the box.

[Poll #1873711]

I'm just not watching much these days. If Mob Doctor folds up I won't be all that sad. I might watch the second hour of Dancing with the Stars on Mondays if it does, as a link between Bones and Castle. I have a hard time watching comedies any more. I guess I watched too many when I was a kid.

On returning Sit-coms I'm still watching 'Suburgatory' and "Community' (I know the later has been delayed, but episodes have been filmed and I do still hope to see them).

On returning/continuing News Comedy shows I'm really enjoying 'Key & Peele' (on Comedy Central) and 'Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell (on FX, and I really recommend this, he is hilarious with a total liberal bias).

I'm also watching 'Merlin' online... I hope they get that onto BBCAmerica soon, it is the final season and they are actually moving the story forward (finally).

And I forgot Falling Skies, which I tried to keep up with in its second season.

Arrgh! I forgot Suburgatory.

And you've managed to discover two tv shows I've never heard of Key & Peel and Totally Biased.

I forgot Falling Skies too...although it's technically over and a summer series like Mad Men and Breaking Bad.

It is virtually impossible to keep up with all the TV shows on all the channels... I hadn't even heard of 'Go On' (I'm setting it up on my DVR since so many of your flist are watching it...). I really appreciate you doing this poll just so I can see what other people are watching (and presumably enjoying).

I'd been recording 'Copper' for some time and wasn't sure I'd like it... but I finally watched the first episode last night and I was surprised by how much I liked it.

I marathoned it this weekend...and the twist on the core mystery will blow you away. My mother talked me into trying it again. It gets really good.

Haven't seen that one yet. And I think I'm dubious about the US Sherlock, and Beauty and the Beast-- because I loved the original series so much..

I've been watching a lot of BBC/ITV shows lately--

I'm in love with Whitechapel-- which has been commissioned for a fourth series, and Luther-- which is also being renewed. I find myself watching a lot of stuff like Wire in the Blood, and Cracker. Well written stuff.

Keep in mind, I'm American-- and I've just gotten bored! with a lot of American TV scriptwriting.

Heh, I'm having this problem with procedurals and mystery of the week series, because I watched too many of them as a kid and in my 20s. Elementary is okay, but can't hold my attention any more than Person of Interest, Castle, Bones, NCIS, CSI, Luther, Whitechapel, Major Crimes, etc can. And I'm guessing it may be for the same reason that you're having issues with sitcoms. Sooner or later you just burn out.
