Actually why anyone would trust Snow and Charming to do anything is beyond me - they are a bit on the incompetent side of the fence.
That's usually the problem when you're Lawful Stupid. Doing the honorable thing only because it's the honorable/lawful thing, even if it doesn't help you or is clearly morally suspicious.
