But yeah, she has a loner-hero thing going on, which makes me think they'll romance her like Joss romanced Buffy, or Angel on AtS. Give 'em to her, then take 'em away. Not in a death way in Neal's case, but in a "this just can't work out" kind of way. Which... crapola, anyway. Doesn't mean they'll get rid of Neal as a character.

As long as they don't kill him or write him out or put him with an annoying character that I can't stand, I'm happy.

See? Easy to please.

I'm not sure how they are going to handle the Neal bit. He's not a regular yet - like Hook is. Regulars are more or less safe, you know they are unlikely to write out or kill regulars. It can go more than one way...he could be her way to well someone else down the line ( a la Sawyer goes past Kate to Juliet, although Kate and Jack were the end game in LOST - these are former LOST writers), or he could be the end game, or she'll go the route of Buffy/Angel and be the lone hero.
I thinking the latter, but since the writers had originally intended to kill off Charming in the first episode and were talked out of it by their female bosses - because viewers need to hope for the happy ending, we may be in luck.
