Oh shoot, where did all these clouds pop in from? It started out as a clear blue day. Granted a wee bit colder than I'd like, but sunny - so had hope. And pristine. Now it's overcast with lots of rain clouds moving in. And the sun appears to have disappeared.

Weather/Mother Nature - 10, Humans - 0. What's new.

In other news, I found out today that my niece and sisinlaw has been sending me lots of cards over the last couple of years, but they ALWAYS get sent back. It would be one thing if I didn't get mail. But I do. Or if they were sending the cards to the wrong address, but she insists they've been sending them to the correct one. So..this is just weird considering I do receive mail from literally everyone else - including lots and lots of junk mail. Would much rather receive cards from my niece, who I adore.

Starting to wonder about the US Postal Service. There's a reason it's losing money, it's become grossly inefficient.

We just had a ton of rain, you might be getting a bit of that... It is definitely resulting in everything getting green fast here (I still worry we'll have a lot more cold weather, but my daffodils are all in bloom now!).

I am REALLY sympathetic about the cards returned to sender! That would make me crazy (I am very attached to getting personal mail).

Our weather can't make up its collective mind - sunny to overcast to sunny to overcast. I wish it would just rain, then be sunny. We had rain all day yesterday but we needed it - hadn't really had any for a bit, I guess. Although three to four days without is hardly a drought. (Sigh, the media.)

PS: Just noticed your icon - cool.

LOL
Yeah, I love my Gone Postal icon...

Iowa has had drought conditions for over a year, last summer was the hottest & driest in decades, and then we really didn't get much snow. So we are hoping for a long wet Spring (I'm afraid it'll go straight into another long hot summer).

But I managed to plant some bleeding heart & lily of the valley today because it was cool and sunny and beautiful out (it is supposed to rain tonight & all day tomorrow).

I hope your back is better and you are enjoying your weekend.
