Agree on Exotic Marigold Hotel. Decided it would have been less heavy handed if they deleted the voice-over narration by Judi Dench completely.
I admittedly skipped Zero Dark Thirty at the theaters due to the torture sequences. There was quite a bit of controversy over those sequences - John McCain amongst others protested the film's portrayal of torture as a successful interrogation device - stating that in reality, the information on Osama Bin Laden's whereabouts did not come from torture. It's why the movie didn't win any awards - I suspect, because of that controversy, which tainted its release.
