There are a lot of hints that Bae spent time in Neverland - in the episode Tallhasse...where he says things off hand about being a Lost Boy and this isn't quite like Neverland, which Emma and the audience assume are just pop culture references.
Also Hook refers to lost boys a lot, and of course the ultimate lost boy is Baelfire - who got lost through a portal.
