OMG! That takes some doing, though at least the dragon might have clued people in to the fact that Merlin wasn't supposed to be accurate. It's when there's no large signpost saying "this is not real history" that I worry. Mary, Queen of Scots's story had enough romantic intrigue and angst anyway without needing to invent anything!
I suppose some of these might turn out to be better than they sound.
