My theory on Peter Pan is that isn't his real body, or at least not his original body. Maybe it's because he seemed to be the "shadow" last season searching endlessly for real boys to kidnap, and now they have an actor playing him.
Although now they're hinting that the shadows are either minions of Pan he stole from his victims, or the person's (Pan's) actual shadow acting separately from the body (as when Rumple cut his off and gave it an order).
Regardless, there is something creepy up with the shadows.
What was my point here? Pan in the original story was human, but the name Peter "Pan" reminds one of the greek god Pan, kind of a mischievous supernatural being. But possibly he's one of the evil faeries I speculated might exist in a post on 2ceUponATime this summer, acting outside the control of Blue.
