Job hunting is indeed the suckiest thing that ever sucked. I totally understand that frustration and the urge to throttle the next person who asks, "so how's the job hunt going?" All you can do is take it easy on yourself. One of my favourite treats from my prolonged un and underemployment was walking down to the bookstore and reading magazines that I would never buy. Even though it's a big box chain type store I always try to buy my books there now because I'm grateful that they provided me a place to get out of my house and out of my head for a little while.
Now is the time to be nice to yourself, the world is throwing enough punches your way for you to be beating yourself up. All I can say, and I'm sure you've heard it all before, is that when you find a job everything will change almost immediately. The trouble is in not knowing when.
