I think you may be right. I vaguely remember reading or hearing something to that effect. And there really isn't enough room on a stage for Gene Simmons and his ego, let alone Paul Stanley or another performer. (I remember watching Simmons go head to head with another big ego, Donald Trump, in Celebrity Apprentice a few years back.)
