Well, I made it through 400 pages of the Marketing book. Now I just have to somehow retain the information so I can parrot it back in some organized manner on a test. Remembering why I dislike school - tests. Bad at tests. Unless they are essay tests, which this one is decidely not. No, it has the dreaded multiple choice section. Being dyselxic, multiple choice and I do not get along. Oh well, it's doubtful it's computerized, so I should be fine. I can compensate pretty well as long as I don't have to fill in little circles on a computer answer sheet - the transfer of the answer to the sheet, invariably causes me to skip down a line and fill in something other than the letter I intended. Computerized testing is evil.

Re-thinking the challenge idea. Don't really have the time or energy right now to write another essay. Also feeling a little burnt on the whole essay writing thing. Besides I think I got a little carried away on the last one - making fun of footnotes and all that. Although - I am a little proud of the fact that such a wide cross-section of character shippers have requested my essays. Shameless bragging and boasting continues : Recently a Riley Finn shipper asked if she could archive two of my essays on her site. So let's see - I have essays on sites that specialize in: Faith/Buffy, Xander/Anya, Xander/Buffy, Buffy/Spike, Angel/Spike,
Giles/Anya, Willow/Spike, Willow, Tara, Giles, Wes/Lilah, Connor, Connor/Spike, Spike/Xander, Spike/Riley, Angel, Fred, Buffy, The Scoobies and now Riley Finn. Ah, I may never get published - but at least I've had people enjoy my words. That's something right? Okay done bragging and boasting now.

Hellbound...what to say about Hellbound? I really enjoyed it. I was spoiled slightly on it. So no real surprises. That said, where was the dang dress? Spike was supposed to be in a dress! Ugh! Those wimps. I'd have put him in a dress. It would have been interesting and a great metaphor and so much more effective. Oh well. I posted more insightful thoughts on ATPO and Angel After Spike in response to other people's posts. May wait a while to post more on that, maybe after I've re-watched the episode? My ratings for ATS 5 so far and other incoherent ramblings which for some reason I feel like posting in a public journal...

5.1 - 7/10 (interesting, good characterizations, funny moments, but plot sort of cliche and lame)
5.2 - 8/10 ( great characterizations, humorous, more interesting plot, less predictable than 5.1)
5.3 - 2/10 (groan fest. deleted reasons to protect those who liked it - will probably tape over it.)
5.4 - 9/10 ( right now best of the bunch. Did my happy dance at the end of it (literally) )

Hellbound was my happy moment in an otherwise frustrating week...that and my Welsh email friend has returned, was afraid I'd lost him. He made me laugh. Very few people really get my sense of humor. The things you'd normally think would make me laugh, don't. While other things - do. Example the Angel/Spike exchange last night? Made me laugh, hard. The Angel/Gunn exchange in the white room, also laughed very hard. Andrew on BTVS? Groan fest. Harmony? Rarely find her funny. Embarassing? Yes. Funny? No. Except in Just Rewards...when she delivered the preaching to the horse's mouth line - that was funny. D'Herbalay never fails to make me laugh. He had me giggling during our email-a-fon with the Fanged Four. I like the dry wit/absurdist comment. Like I said, off-beat sense of humor.

The transistional world of email - ugh. Still don't know what happened to my navy-nurse friend in Japan (Off-Kilter)...she was there one moment, gone the next. Really miss her sometimes. Particularly her sense of humor. She also really made me laugh. She had this way of talking about her day, which sounded like a comedy of errors that would have me giggling. And she had such a wonderful take on the shows. But I suspect the navy nazis limited her online access and she could no longer engage in emails, chats or board stuff. I do miss her though. Should stop this mad babble...before someone mistakes me for Fred.

What??? Spike in a dress?? And we didn't get it?? They should have stuck him in one and Angel too. I will not rest until Angel and Spike have to sneak out of Los Angeles by dressing in drag and joining an all-female jazz band.

LOL!!!!!

According to a spoiled friend - he was meant to be in a dress in this episode. Not only that - they filmed him in one. Parvain puts him in a dress right before stripping him naked - it's when the ghost says "nancy-boy". But they cut it just like they cut Wes' dance sequence in Waiting in the Wings. (Guess it went against the overall tone.) According to Andy Hallet at one of the con's - DB (Boreanze) was drawing rude pictures of JM in the dress at the time.

Apparently DB's cherished dream is for Spike and Angel to go undercover in drag during one episode a la Tango and Cash. LOL!
