1. Grey's Anatomy Apparently various Entertainment Weekly subscribers were spoiled on the big death on Grey's Anatomy prior to seeing the episode, and pissed about it. The media is calling it "jaw-dropping" and "shocking". Is it just me or is the media prone to hyperbole?

People were actually shocked by the Grey's Anatomy death at the end of tonight's episode? Seriously? I saw it coming a mile away. It's not like it hadn't been leaked weeks in advance that the actor playing the character in question wanted out. It had. Plus the series neatly wrapped up his character arc in a nice little bow. Then went ahead and dropped huge hints.

And it is hardly the only "major or lead character" death the series or Rhimes has done. Or any television series for that matter. Actually I found the death at the end of last week's Scandal more surprising.

I'm sorry media and television writers - but I'm hard to shock. You've been killing off far too many characters for me to care. And they all get killed off for the same reason - either the actor is pissing off the head writer (don't pull the diva bit, actors unless the showed is named after your character and you are a producer and can fire the head writer (ie. You are Roseanne, and the show is called Roseanne.) See -- well various shows that shall go unmentioned.) or the actor/actress wants to be let out of their contract early to pursue other ventures. (See the Good Wife)

2. Still arguing with the line editor in my head. Today's argument was over the following comment.

Example:

Line editor comment: "Devils don't have pointy ears they have horns."
ME: actually they have both, what devils have you been looking at! (I don't have any devils in my book. So don't worry.)
