Raise your hand if you got more creative writing done prior to the internet? I did. Damn internet is a distraction. I'm wondering if I should go back to long-hand, except I find it easier to type than write in long-hand.

Watched the first two-three episodes of The Expanse and...so far it follows the first book, Leviathan Wakes more or less closely. There are a few changes, which I sort of wish they hadn't made, because it disrupts the flow of the story. (The UN gal on Earth was not a pov character or even in the first novel of The Expanse. I think she pops up in the second book, which I haven't read.) We don't need another point of view. The story is hard enough to follow as it is. I'm not sure if people who haven't read the books can follow it or not.

I like the story, but so far it's not...compelling. None of the actors playing the roles are grabbing me. But we're only three episodes in, it might get better as it goes. Battle Star Galatica got better, the mini-series wasn't that great, but the first episode, was. So if you count the mini-series, that's about five episodes in? Sci-Fi series take a while to get off the ground and rarely start out great. (See Farscape and Star Trek as examples.)

Also, am almost caught up on The Big Bang Theory -- my only quibble is this weird view that women aren't into Star Wars. (yes, they are). Big Bang is rather stereotypical in how it portrays gender and that's always urked me a bit. The fact that none of the women are into comic books or superhero movies or Star Wars is stereotypical and sexist. But outside of that? It works for me, and I'm happy with how they've slowly evolved the characters. The humiliation humor, which is typical of American comedies, does occasionally have me running for the hills, but overall, it's hilarious in places. The Sheldon/Amy coitus bit was funnier than expected and handled well, particularly in comparison to Star Wars. And I adore Will Wheaton in this series...he's a great straight man. The Spock Documentary episode with Wheaton was a joy to behold.

Sheldon opens his safe: This is where I keep my minature Will Wheaton action figure, and my Will, where I leave my minature Will Wheaton action figure to Will Wheaton.

Leonard: Will Will want it?

Will Wheaton: Will won't.

🙋absolutely agree one can get lost in vastness of the digiverse. If we let it. I welcome creative projects to fill up as much of that vastness as possible. What's left used for networking branding sharing.

I've learned to steer clear of some of the marketing stuff. Stick to a scant few sites, concentrate my efforts there. And try to do it sparingly.
