Thanks to the people who made me feel better and not insane, recently. I completely freaked. You helped. Appreciate it. ;-) Honestly, I'm beginning to think I need to leave posting boards for a while. Way too jerky on my emotions - almost as bad as work. Actually I preferred work, it was a) real and b) I got a paycheck. Sigh. New year! New hopes!

Tomorrow I'm off. Hopefully. The weather seems to be holding. 3 weeks in Hilton Head Island, SC. That's off the coast of South Carolina and just a little to north of Georgia, not far from Savannah, GA and Beaufort, SC for those geography buffs.

Oh...a writing/fanfic challenge? My dear departed aunt once had an assignment to write a story on the topic "miserable thin skin".
What she created was a story about a girl dreaming about a wonderful world, only to wake up in a dreary hospital bed - dreams can have miserable thin skin. So can emotions apparently.

Happy Holidays! Hope everyone has a safe, fun, stress-free holiday.

Wait and see how you feel after your break. And have a lovely holiday. I won't be getting much time off, but it being Christmas does make up for it somewhat. Right after I sort out the headache of present shopping

Thanks Rah!

I honestly think my emotions are just raw about travel right now.

Get to do the present shopping when I get down there.

Hope you have a good break. Oh by the way, I've been loving your livejournal entries...they are incredibly empowering.

S'kat, can I just say...love you lots! Have a great holiday.

Also, FYI, I furiously and completely love everyone who supported you through this most recent debacle with...well...y'know who!

Have a good time and a safe trip! Will try to save you some Xmas cookies. There's never enough and I end up having to make New Year's cookies as well. Well, that's my excuse at any rate!

XOXO

Hope you are feeling better today--there's no disease like other people for making you really miserable.

Glad you'll be enjoying the beaches of SC this winter--I'll be there too, Sat-Wed, but not Hilton Head. My family has a house at Pawley's Island (north of Charleston, south of Myrtle Beach). However, my stepdaughter will be at Hilton Head after Christmas and I may be down there for a day or so.

Now I realize you may just need a complete and total break from all boards and journals and people associated with them. I can understand that!

If you do start feeling like socializing, though, two possibilities:

You can email me at kremln@midlandstech.edu if you feel like just trying to meet for a quick coffee or drink or walk on the beach when I'm at HH (probably sometime Dec. 27-30--but just one or two days of that)

OR

We could try to organize a small mini, mini meet in Charleston. Random and some others are in NC and we might be able to find a time.

Let me know if any of that sounds interesting. If not, no problem--enjoy the beach! It always cures me of all ills, especially the human kind.

I understand that you probably hate me now, so I won't clog up your journal any more than neccessary. I just wanted to let you know that I wrote a private message to you in my journal. It'll probably do more harm then good, but I thought I'd try.

Happy Holidays! Hope everyone has a safe, fun, stress-free holiday.

And the same for you. And hoping that next Year brings you more good things. Best wishes.
