1. Stranger Things by the Duffy Brothers, is compelling. I started it at 8PM, planned on watching just one episode...four episodes later, realized okay, I need to stop now, so I can sleep tonight.

It's on Netflix. Not sure you can get it outside of Netflix. Also not sure it's to everyone's taste.
Reminds me a lot of the 1980s and 1970s psychological horror films, except with a bit more multi-racial casting.

2. Long week. It's hot today. In the 90s, humid. Sticky. It's really not the heat that's the problem but the humidity.

They are blaring the tunes above me and at 11:19 pm, no less.

Weirdly I'm wearing jeans and a sweatshirt in my apartment, because methinks I put the a/c on too high to clean the air. Plus side? No sinus headaches from hell.

At work this week - head honcho asked me if I'd done Cap duty this week. (CAP Duty is basically standing out on the train platforms and directing customers to the trains. Only managers and senior managers do it.) I looked at him and said, he'd have to promote me up to the management level before that could happen. Apparently, he saw me out there..doing it. Weird. Either he's having delusions or I have a twin. I mentioned it to Lando, who said that I had a more successful twin who was doing very well, while I was stuck with the status quo. I beg to differ, as far as I can tell managing people and doing cap duty is not a desirable duty (the money isn't worth the pain). People are irritatingly hard to manage or direct places. It's a bit like managing cats. Actually it's just like managing cats, there really is no difference.

Meanwhile on the streets to Grand Central - I saw carved on the tin road covering (sort of plaque covering up potholes in the rode) TRUMP IS EVIL. And on FB, some nitwit decided to post to the Kensington Community Page how offended she was that Trump was being called Hitler, when it was obvious that Hillary's actions regarding Iraq were far more Hitler-like. (Her logic resembled troll logic - I read it and could not make heads or tails out of it. Nor could anyone else apparently.) Before this could erupt into a major kerfuffle, the moderator told her that it was against the rules to post political items to the Kesington Face Book page, and if she did it again, she'd be banned and defriended. And advised everyone that her post would be deleted within the hour. Another poster told her to keep her views to herself and just make sure she could vote in November. Personally, I was hoping she'd stay home.

You'd think that was the end of the story, right? But no. The same woman posts a rant about how she was almost run over by a car twice on her walk around the neighborhood when crossing the street and chased by a beggar on crutches into a store. I'm thinking as I'm reading this..the universe certainly has a sense of humor regarding how it pays us back for our own stupidity.

Life continues to do the wacky.
