You start the memory banks working and all of a sudden all these book titles pop into your head, the only problem with this - is if you have more than 20 years of reading experience, you can't always remember when you read the thing. OR in some cases, whether you read it, someone else read it to you (I loved being read to as a child or for that matter reading to others as I grew older bit of the frustrated actress in me, I suspect), or you read the cliffnotes version -(saw the film, play, etc.).
At any rate...in the course of the day, I smacked my head and went, how could you have forgotten to mention:
Chronicles of NArnia - read all of them in grade school I think
Black Stallion, Misty of Chinctock Island
I Never Promised You A Rose Garden
Winnie The Pooh - and The 100 Acre Wood by AA Milne
Picking a couple is like...well choosing children, you can't do it!! And when you forget a few, which I keep doing, you feel oddly guilty for it. It's a weird weird thing.

In other news? I watched two more episodes of Firefly tonight and the commentary for Out of Gas.
Very interesting commentary on Out of Gas - lots of information on lighting and how you organize and break a script. Realized something in re-watching Out of Gas and Bushwacked (which I did on two separate nights) - and that is how much I miss the writing of Tim Minear. He wrote both episodes and both are amazing character studies - showing different facets of each character without ever really judging them. The writer just shows us his characters, sits back lets the actors add to it, and finally the audience be the judge. That is good writing. Showing not telling. Starting to miss Firefly, particularly when the commentators allude to stories they were going to tell and didn't get a chance to. (I have the oddest feeling these tales may end up on Angel this year and I can't quite decide if that's a good thing.)
