Nano update? I'm writing on three books at the same time at the moment. Because I'm having issues focusing. Also, I'm not sure I understand the whole nano thing...so you write about 20,000-50,000 words post that and they give you a bumper sticker saying you won?

I've about 50-100 words in five different places today.

Hmmm.

The election from hell keeps scaring me. It was the scariest thing on television and on social media this weekend. I can't decide if it will be better next week or worse when it's over. I'm sure in ten years...or maybe fifty, we'll look back and laugh. But then again, maybe not. Assuming we survive it of course. (ETA: hmm, a heart showed up at the end of this post, and I've no idea how that happened. Is someone trying to cheer me up? I've been all bad moody lately.)

Shows I plan on streaming over the weekend and Thanksgiving: Longmire S3, Good Girls Revolt, and Gilmore Girls Reunion. Also possibly rent via on demand, Captain America: Civil War and The Legend of Tarzan (just because I like Alexander S.)

Apparently one can like posts now with these hearts akin to Imzy (or dreadful FB).

I'm so scared of this election. I was so sure that Trump would go down in flames. And now things are so close again. Who the fuck changes their mind about a monster like Trump because of this email non-scandal? I keep telling myself that it is the media overinterpreting because to them a close race is always better than one that is already over. And also, maybe it is important for Clinton that it looks close, so that people who do not like her but don't want Trump do not abstain from the polls. I will be so glad, when this election is finally over.

There is still our stupid Austrian election, where we decide if we want to become the leading neofascist nation in western Europe or if we'd rather want Dumbledore for president. You'd think it would be easy, wouldn't you? Looking at the polls, I get the impression that without women voting we'd all go to hell in a handbasket.

I'm six eps into Good girls revolt and it is a thing of beauty. Really, a wonderful show. Reminds me a lot of The Good Wife and Mad Men. Best thing I saw in ages. I kept putting off Westworld (good, but too much pointless violence) to watch more Good Girls Revolt. Too few shows about historic feminist heorism.

Ah. Odd. But, it has advantages. I read a lot of posts that I like but have nothing to say, outside of - I like this. Also lets you know if anyone is reading...even if they have nothing to say.

Exactly. I have to keep physically restraining myself from smacking the hypocritical idiots who support Trump upside the head. Since I'm surrounded by them at work (crazy ass Long Island conservatives) -- this requires meditation and a concerted effort not to discuss politics.

Also there are apparently people in my neighborhood who support him. One guy was whining on FB Kensington, Brooklyn home page about his Trump sign getting egged by vandals on Halloween.

One woman, in Iowa, got arrested for voting for Trump twice. Because Trump told his followers to do that. And the federal government didn't arrest the bastard for instigating voter fraud.

It's gotten really bad. I read the news and I'm torn between screaming and laughing hysterically. The Right-Wing Republicans have collectively lost what is left of their minds. We're considering comitting them for their own protection and well ours. We just have to get their guns away from them first.

Sigh, yes. The world have become a scary place lately.

This is my problem with it as well. The violence is turning me off. It's not completely pointless -- it is to an extent a nasty commentary on our violent and aggressive culture. But, I want to be comforted right now. Maybe after the election...and when I'm a little less stressed out.

Fingers crossed that both of our elections turn out well -- ie. Dumbledore gets elected over Voldemort.
