shadowkatBetween work anxieties and this crazy election, I've been a bucket of nerves lately. So still streaming Longmire, and writing intermittently in between. I think I've written a little over 2,000 words. Chicken feed.
Had today off -- and tomorrow. Then back to work for three days, two of which are for training.
I think it's the uncertainties that are driving me crazy. Wish the future came with spoilers, like tv shows.
My Aunt, may she rest in peace, used to read the ends of books first to ensure that they ended happily before she read them. She was a true believer in spoilers. I think because she spent most of her life -- struggling with deep-seated anxieties.
Tomorrow I'm voting for the first female president of the US, or so I hope. A lot of people are wearing white in solidarity with the suffragette movement. (I don't own any white that isn't summery). This election more than anything else this year has underlined how misogynistic the US and its media can be. I can't wait for it to be over -- and yet, we all know that it won't be. Tomorrow will only be the conclusion of Act II, Act III is still to come.
Did finish the Magic Series finally. So moving forward with My Brilliant Friend by Elena Ferrante (as translated by Anne Goldstein).
