Sick again, tv watching, etc

shadowkatWell, the chest cold passed and now I appear to have a head cold. Annoying to say the least. At least I think it is a head cold - the difficulty with having allergies is you're never sure. Let's see, stuffy head, dripping nose, clogged ears, difficulty sleeping, fatigue, itchy eyes, started on one side of my head moved to the other...and I'm allergic to mold spores which only disappear after a hard freeze? Head cold. Definitely head cold. Sigh. Gotta love January. Beginning to forget what it was like not to be sick.
Does pose a bit of dilemma. I've got plans on Friday that I'd like to keep and possible plans on Sat. CW has invited me to tour the Metropolitan Museum of Art with her on Friday, haven't seen CW in weeks. We planned the outting two weeks ago. Ugh. Don't want to cancel. But it's supposed to be bitterly cold again tomorrow. Also looking forward to my weekly outing with cjl, often the best part of my week and the most relaxing. Maybe the damn thing will dissappear or just get better? I feel better today than yesterday...okay enough whining.
Will go to pharmacy, stock up on stuff and not let it get in the way of my life.
So what did I think about last night's Angel? I loved it. I really did. One of my favorite episodes at the moment. Far more than I expected. So much so that I have decided not to discuss it online for the time being. Want to hold onto that enjoyment for just a little bit longer. After what happened with Harm's Way - an episode I thoroughly loved and everyone else apparently disliked (outside of maybe five people), I'm thinking this may be the best approach for the time being.
One comment on Ats 5.10, methinks whomever wrote that episode has been reading fanfic. There's a name/character dropped that unless I'm mistaken was taken lock stock and barrel from annie s-j's fic Waking the Dead. It's Luicien Drake, described as an evil warlock, in Waking the Dead - he was either a vampire and a warlock or just a warlock. I could be wrong about this - but I remember the fic, a WIP, and it was a cool villain. ME? If this is the case, you are definitely slipping. ;-) Oh, the episode was also based on a superman comic written by Alan Moore, entitled "Whatever Became of Superman", for those interested.
