It's admittedly odd that a kid's show did a parody of a NC-17 rated adult series.

Heh! Doesn't surprise me at all. I've seen a Muppets re-enactment of the diner scene in When Harry Met Sally with Miss Piggy in the Meg Ryan role. Also a Sesame Street version of Ingmar Bergman's The Seventh Seal. You can probably find both on YouTube.

They did another take on When Harry Met Sally with Cookie Monster in the Billy Crystal Role (apparently they like that movie, they did it twice). One on Orange is the New Black. And one on Taxi Driver, apparently one of the writer's is a huge fan of the movie.
