Any Buffy Fans Still Out There?

shadowkat1. This is an excellent Q&A at the 2016 Wales Comic Con with Kristine Sutherland, Nick Brendan, and James Marsters.
Also Marsters manages to explain rather eloquently why I'm a huge Star Wars and Buffy Fan to this day.
Why? I love subversive art. The more subversive and twisty the better. I am subversive writer and artist myself -- off the beaten path. So I like it when people subvert genre tropes, or themes.
Anyhow...there's other bits in this I rather loved. Kristine Sutherland manages to explain in a nutshell why I saw Spike as the more long-term love interest over Angel, and why Spike was more appealing. She basically stated the exact same thing Joss Whedon did in various interviews.
They also talk a lot about process. And why they would never work for Stanley Kubrick.
And what it was like to come back as a ghost. Oh, and I adore Kristine Sutherland (who played Buffy's Mom - Joyce.)

4. Finally, Anthony Stewart Head discussing Doctor Who, Merlin, Buffy, Still Star-Crossed and other shows...at Canadian Fan Expo in 2017
He states that his favorite series or fannish series, besides Rin Tin Tin was of course Doctor Who.
These are fascinating because they really focus on what it is like to be an actor on a television series, and not the lead, but a journeyman actor -- the supporting actors. And the whole process around television acting, the pitfalls, the challenges, the vulnerabilities.
Head makes an interesting comment about how insecure and incredibly vulnerable actors are -- that's why they love nothing better than to dress up and be someone else, which is worth bearing in mind.
