1. Season 4 of Lucifer on Netflix -- Everything You Need To Know

Lucifer season 4 release date: When will it arrive?

Co-showrunners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich told TVLine that production is expected to start on season four in August 2018, with it expected to wrap up in December.

And true to their word, production started on season four on August 13 with the cast sharing a video from the set and taking a cheeky jab at Fox for cancelling the show in the first place.

That means we can't expect season four to land anytime this year and we're looking at early 2019 at the earliest for season four to hit Netflix, but at least it'll be the same everywhere so no Lucifer fan will have to wait for the new episodes.

Previously, Lucifer has aired on Amazon Prime Video in the UK, but while nothing has been confirmed yet, we think it's unlikely that it won't move to Netflix in the UK as well.

So...thinking late 2019.

Better information is HERE .

When will Season 4 air?

Since the show wasn't expecting a cancellation, it's likely that it could return as soon as early 2019. However, further details will surely come to light as no official announcements have been made.

A recent report reveals that all of Season 4 will be released at once as is Netflix's usual procedure.
How long will the season be?

There were a number of different ways in which Netflix could approach the revived series. For example, as with recent releases like Arrested Development and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, the season could be released in two parts.

Another likelihood was that it would be reduced season in comparison to Season 3's 24 episode count (26 if you count the two bonus episodes that aired after the cancellation), as we're talking Netflix versus network television. In the case of Lucifer, Netflix took the reduced route giving Season 4 a 10-episode count.
Will the show embrace its new streaming home?

In other words, will it be free of the old network restrictions? Thankfully, the answer is yes! Fans will be glad to hear that the showrunners are ready to embrace the unlimited canvas that is streaming, which could mean that you'll see a lot more of Lucifer and his friends.

What We Learned From the 'Lucifer' Bonus Episodes — Plus, Fans React
Joe Henderson and Idly Modrovich recently spoke to about the unlimited possibilities, reminiscing about one nearly-nude scene that they wish could have gone further on Fox. "Things like that we might be able to get away with while not feeling like I can’t watch it with my ‘tween daughter," Modrovich told TV Line.

"Our blood can be a little more real, our horror can be a little more horror-y," Henderson continued. "It will all stay within the language of the show, but we’re definitely going to embrace the little things like that, that I think make a big difference."

What do we know about the premiere?

The official Lucifer Writers Room Twitter revealed that the first episode of Season 4 will be titled "Everything's Okay." Executive producer Joe Henderson has written the episode that will be directed by Sherwin Shilati.

The tweet reads: "The title of Ep. 401 is "Everything's Okay". Written by the incomparable @Henderson_Joe, directed by the great @sherwinshilati and on @netflix! #Lucifer #LuciferOnNetflix"

Why Netflix Chose to Save Lucifer

Pretty much for the reasons I predicted -- it's resonating with a world-wide audience, and unlike FOX or the broadcast networks, streaming channels such as Amazon and Netflix are more interested in the needs of the global audience. Smart.

Based on Cindy Holland's explanation at Netflix's recent TCA session (via Deadline), the show's ability to resonate with fans all over the world had a lot to do with saving it from the brink. Lucifer's connection with said fans is one of the things that likely helped make the show's campaign so robust and in the end, successful. In a television season that saw several cancelled series make their way to new homes courtesy of secondary-rescue, not every show did.

Leave it to a supernatural drama to end up with more than one life. While Lucifer is not available to stream on Netflix, the streaming service does feature a lot of supernatural television dramas, including Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, and The Originals, among others. The genre was not given as a reason Netflix decided to save it, even though the popularity of a particular genre would theoretically fit into that choice somewhere down the line.

One thing not mentioned by Cindy Holland was how the show's fans mobilized on social media to take their call to action viral. When Fox cancelled Lucifer, fans joined forces along with the series' showrunner and its stars to rescue the show. That level of solidarity in the fight only helped fuel the fire.

With the show not set to go overboard with its less restrictive content status as a streaming series, fans just have to sit back and wait to see how this new Netflix version of the show does when it rolls out. If Netflix likes what they see with Season 4, executives could very well want more.

In short, networks can no longer determine the fate of television shows nor can advertisers, and they don't control what people watch. In today's world, Joss Whedon could have gone up to the WB and said, let me know if you still want Angel, if not? I'm shopping it over at Netflix.

2. Daredevil News for anyone who is remotely interested -- still no release date. For some reason they are doing S2 of Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and JJ first. I only care about Daredevil. I found the other three series to be slow and not all that gripping.

Although, I've been told Luke Cage S2 is in some respects better than S1. JJ S2 wasn't -- I could not get into it.

3. It's been a very wet summer in NYC. As a result, it's very green in my area. Also I have a leak in the wall and window casing of my bedroom. It's not a horrible leak -- but it is getting worse and needs to be fixed. Wrote it down on the super's to do list.

Lots of greenery and pretty flowers on my walks around my neighborhood. I live in a more residential area of Brooklyn, a fifteen to twenty minute walk to the Park and Greenwood Cememtary (which is a park with grave stones dating back to the 1800s, although I saw gravestones from the 1700s in there.)
And near what I like to call NYC's version of Greenwhich, CT.

It's quiet, very diverse, and safe. I live in a cross-section of Russian Jews, Polish Catholics, Bengali Muslims, Pakistani Muslims, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Brazillian, South American, Italians, Hispanics, French, Carribean, and people like myself who appear to hail from the Midwest. I hear about fifteen different languages just walking in and out of my building or down my block. It's rather cool and keeps my prejudices in check. It's harder to hold on to prejudices when they are constantly being challenged on a daily basis. People though are insanely tribal and exclusive. I wish I could knock that out of them -- I think that tendency is destroying us. But alas, you can't save or change the world, you can only change and save yourself.

Very excited to hear that filming for S4 of Lucifer is already underway! In some ways I think the season being reduced to just 10 eps could be a good thing. Last season there was a bit of meandering in terms of plotlines so a shorter season should help with tightening things up.

Se LC is really boring, at least the first two episodes. Not much happened, and I suspect they are setting stuff up, but given the first season was rockem sockem, this is a snooze.
