Aug. 23rd, 2019 08:50 pm1. Damn, it's going to be VERY, VERY, HARD to avoid subscribing to Disney + . Well, for me, at any rate. You may have no problems on this score.
Oh...and guess what? Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel is coming to Disney Plus, along with She-Hulk, Moon Knight, WandaVision, What IF?, Hawkeye, The Falcon and the Winter Solider, and Loki.
And that's on top of Star Wars series, Muppets, all the animated and Pixar films, The Simpsons (yes, Disney now owns the Simpsons...scary, right?), Tron, and all of the Disney movies.
Ugh. I could just subscribe to Disney and be perfectly happy. HBO? Unless you get His Dark Materials out shortly and it's really good -- you may get cancelled.
2. Back is killing me -- had some sort of muscle spasm last night or I twisted the wrong way, not sure, but lower back on the left side is hurting again - it and hormones, made me very irritable. Also lack of sleep. Caused issues sleeping last night -- put heat and cold on it. Today took aleve and motrin, hot and cold...and still hurt. Most likely not helped by hours spent bent over computer and contract, attempting to create an excel spreadsheet with the previous contract's pricing specifications and language.
So came home and took a 15mg cannabis, and it seems to be helping. It did kill my irritation, fury, depression and anxiety -- so I'll give it that.
But I also meditated, so that helped as well on both.
I don't think I need to explain my irritation, fury, depression and anxiety. I keep wishing there were less people and more trees.
Hmmm...Maybe I need to watch a horror film where trees eat people? I'm sure someone has done one at some point along the line. Possibly Disney?

Date: 2019-08-24 01:38 pm (UTC)The more I see, the more I read, the more I wonder if human beings aren't the alien life-forms on earth -- that are slowly destroying it. And earth is doing it's darndest to fight back. I'm starting to root for earth. (The news makes me very misanthropic...which is why I'm trying to stay away from it.)

Date: 2019-08-24 01:27 pm (UTC)It's still...an uneven remedy. Also I'd check with a pharmacy. I bought some stuff at a pharmacy in Martha's Vineyard. I rarely use it -- because it has side-effects of feeling sort of numb, and I get hungry or the munchies.

Date: 2019-08-24 09:36 am (UTC)Sorry to hear about your back! Work can be hard on the body. I screwed up my neck the other day with a conference call I could not put on speaker (my "office" is in an open reception area, and working on a spreadsheet.

Date: 2019-08-24 01:35 pm (UTC)Yeah, conference calls are the worse. What I've done is I got one of those phones that goes over the head and one ear -- it's a hands free headset, from my work place. Which helps. I'm in a cubicle -- and it's impossible to put it on speaker unless I get a room, and rooms can be hard to come by.
The spreadsheet would have been easier -- if I didn't have to grab the data from an old contract's price sheets done in word. I scanned them (because the contract was old and playing havoc with my allergies), and tried to export to word (too garbled), so just printed off the PDF version and used that. I may try to use the electronic version next week -- since I do have two computer screens at work now.
