1. The Television renewal/cancellation lists have been released at least for the broadcast networks.

What relatively new shows that I'm watching have been renewed?

Prodigal Son, Stumptown, Million Little Things, Station 19, New Amsterdam, 9-1-1 Lone Star, 9-1-1, The Connors, Batwoman, Nancy Drew, Legacies, Bob Hearts Abishola...

I'm not watching "EVIL" but it has been renewed for those that are.

What shows have been cancelled?

Empire, Emergence (no surprise there - the plot and writing didn't live up to the cast), Supernatural is on it's last season (which will air this fall), Hawaii 5-0, Bless this Mess, Carol's Second Act,

2. I'm making my way through my saved DVR hours - which are up to 70 hours of television.

I deleted the three remaining hours of Emergence - because why bother.

Working my way through Nancy Drew and 9-1-1...and well, the shows that aired in January and Feb - are kind of odd to watch at the moment, for the news breaks and commercials. It's demonstrative of how much has changed in a relatively short period of time.

The things we worried about in January and Feb, we aren't really worrying that much about now, are we?

Nancy Drew is among the better CW series - with a solvable mystery of the week, an interesting and compelling season long mystery, and enough creepy scares to keep one entertained.

3. Shoulder hurts so applying moist heat to it and the neck. It's raining off and on today, am debating a walk to Greenwood Cemetery while overcast but thinking I might be better off waiting until Tuesday or Wed.

Yes, it is raining again now...the pitter patter against the A/C and as if on queue, I hurt.

My mother asked me what television shows I plan on binging. I'm think something amusing next? Or maybe Money Heist. Nancy Drew and 9-1-1 were not amusing, although they were entertaining.

So these are the ones I'm contemplating:

* Little Fires Everywhere - Hulu
* Veronica Mars S4 - Hulu
* Steven Universe - continuation Hulu
* Money Heist - Netflix
* Mike Barbaligia - Netflix
* A Korean Soap Opera/Romance - Inheritors - Netflix
* Flower Fight - Netflix
* Catherine the Great - Hulu
* Studio City - Amazon
* Bay City - Netflix

Feel free to chime in...but I'm trying to swing away from the dark stuff. Also I don't do horror flicks when I'm living in the middle of a psychological horror movie...my dreams are bad enough as it is.

Mike Birbiglia is wonderful. Pat and I have loved all his stuff. The movie he made SLEEPWALK WITH ME, is not happy stuff. So you'd probably want to stick with his comedy specials, and there's four, I believe, on Netflix.

I'm very much enjoying Burn Notice on Amazon. Very light fare. I'm probably going to watch some of the later seasons of Community now that it's on Netflix. Ooh, probably going to rewatch parts of Avatar: The Last Airbender on Netflix as well; it was a really solid series.

When I finally remake an account with Hulu, I'm definitely going to try that Catherine the Great series.

ATLA is worth a watch. From what I've read, the live-action movie adaptation was a mess (I never saw it), so if that was your only experience of it, the animated show is very different.

I think you're right about The Expanse probably being too intense for now. I think I could rewatch earlier seasons because it's known territory, but I haven't finished the current season available. (Also, it's a slow build into the parts that interest me the most, so... there's that, too. Unfortunately it's really not a show where you can easily skip stuff, so slogging through the less-interesting story arcs is what everyone ends up doing.)

I'm pretty happy with both the renewals and the cancellations. I was probably going to follow Emergence despite the criminal waste of the cast, because I can't imagine not watching Alison Tolman... in anything. ABC spared me (and her).

Guilty pleasure: ABC renewed The Rookie, so my wife can continue to enjoy Nathan Fillion.

Non-streaming channels have picked up a couple of DC Universe shows: I've been watching the Harley Quinn animated series on SyFy (review to come), and the CW will broadcast the Alan Moore-inspired Swamp Thing series. (No Doom Patrol, though.)

Cartoon Network has revived/picked up Tuca and Bertie! Not having Netflix, I didn't see most of s1, but what I did see was amaaaaazing. Can't wait to see the full series.

YAAAAAY that they renewed New Amsterdam!!! I was so glad that they brought it back after fans demanded it when they originally planned to end it at the end of S2. I adore Max and Iggy, as well as Dr. Kapur and (Miss Martha Jones).

I've seen 3 thumbs up on Catherine the Great now. I don't have access myself but it's sounding like that's worth the watch.
