Day 9 - of the 30 days meme - Song that makes you happy

The problem with this meme for me - is I don't remember the names of songs or performers very well. I have a great memory, but it's poorly indexed.
I'm trying to remember a song that is about it being a sunnier year. But I can't remember the name of it for the life of me. If you can figure out what the name of that song is? Kudos.

So, after listening to 50-60 different songs, I've settled on ...Joy to the World by Three Dog Night. The other two, I considered, made me cry - Louis Armstrong's It's a Wonderful World and Rachel Loy's Big Sky (and that's tomorrow's selection.) I also considered Moondance - but I've already done one by Van Morrison, and Bad Bad Leroy Brown. I wish I could remember the one about how it's going to be a sunny year.

It's a great song. I didn't know Scully sang it to Mulder. I thought I saw Detour. Hmm.
Oh, speaking of X-Files, you may or may not appreciate this - my cousin who is a huge fan of the series - stated in a FB post that she thinks we've fallen into the X-Files Universe. There apparently was an episode with a Russian vaccine for a weird virus.

I don't think it's any of those. I may have to go look in the archives...

I Can See Clearly Now" is a Billboard Hot 100 Chart #1 hit song, written and recorded by Johnny Nash. It was a single from the album of the same name and achieved success in the United States and the United Kingdom when it was released in 1972. It was covered by many artists throughout the years, including a 1993 hit version by Jimmy Cliff, who re-recorded it for the motion picture soundtrack of Cool Runnings, where it reached the top 20 at #18 on the Billboard Hot 100.

I had to go hunt for it in the archives of my journal, and it came to me - I'd posted the song title in a NY's Eve Post for January 2008.

I love that song. (In one of my favorite XF fanfics, Mulder and Scully and their infant son are the run, driving off into an uncertain future, because they are being hunted by the Syndicate. "I can see clearly now" starts playing on the car radio. It's so sad. Anyway, bad as that sounds, it's a better ending than the one 1013 gave us. Bastards.)

Cool Runnings was a fun movie.
