Well Teen Wolf is definitely getting better. Just watched a well-written S3 episode, that's mainly back-story, on two separate character arcs, told by two unreliable narrators - and it actually shows how the narrators are unreliable. At the end of which, the two leads look at their female companions and state that they don't believe the story-teller. One, Styles, references Marlow in Heart of Darkness, and how Marlow is an unreliable narrator - and he thinks Peter Hale is as well.

I found it well-down. The writing has gotten increasingly better as we go, along with the acting and performances. They have Michael Hogan (whose excellent) and Gideon Emery - two excellent character actors in it.

If I remember correctly, but it has been awhile, season 3 is probably their best season, although I stopped watching after season 4, I think I watched one episode of season 5 and stopped.

This may explain why it got cancelled after S6? It lost a portion of the audience.
Although apparently the fandom was really active by S6.

S3 is well done. The villains complicated, and the mystery tight. I was surprised by who the killer was - and intrigued.

I think it got cancelled because a lot of the actors wanted to go on to other things, and few of them had already left the show.

That's usually the case - and makes a lot of sense. That's what happened with Vamp Diaries, Buffy, and several others - some of the lead players lost interest and wanted to move on. While you can replace writers, actors are a bit harder.
